~ ~ ~

Please don’t see my

scars, for they have crept
upon me in body and in soul;
while I wasn’t looking. The

wounds came, burning me
into submission, leaving
me without control
during nights
of anguish as I slept.

Please cast your eyes upon
my inner soul;  behold the purity
and fruition of my love for you,
while I quiver and withdraw,
shaking, and hiding my
pitiful imperfections
and injuries from
your sight;
yet

knowing the
ever glowing love
within me for only you;
and knowing this gift
that I do still have

to offer.

Rosemary~
Oh, this is just so very pleading.

'Please cast your eyes upon
my inner soul, behold the purity
and fruition of my love for you,
while I quiver and withdraw,
shaking, and hiding my
pitiful imperfections
and injuries from
your sight'

'knowing the
ever glowing love
within me for only you
and knowing this gift
that I do still have'
to offer

And then ..... there's that smile !

Fair poet ... this is you.

Rosemary,
this is stunningly beautiful all the way through from bone to skin.

Rosemary -
You made me cry with these simple words- and while I cry easily - (at movies ["chick fliks" naturally] all the time) the poems that incite tears usually involve death or abuse. So - these are happy tears - most unusual for me- Happy once again to know the extraordinary love that you and Dale share - and the knowledge of why you deserve the love we all give you.
On another note: based on your reply to my poem today - My real name is William (Bill -please   ) but not Yeats   still - thank you I'm proud to hold an association with a relative of yours
