Wonderful poem Bob! I never thought of a tree in that way before, but you can be sure I will the next time a log is put on the fire. Bonnie |

Suzzanne, Thank you for your compliment, I am glad that you enjoyed reading it. Sunshine, I am so glad that you are shining on me wherever I go... It is strange. I don't know why, but a hot log on a flickering fire just seems to have that soothing effect. Bonnie, Thank you. Those old logs just keep getting better as they cure outside in the sun... ...and they do provide the hottest and longest burning fires. |

Butterflies, I actually got the idea for this poem quite a few years ago as I was trying to view life through the eyes of an elderly friend... Otherwise, I don't think I would have seen it either. I'm glad that you liked it. |

At first I wondered if you were referring to the "fire" of autumn, but after reading your comments, I can better appreciate your intended symbolism. A tender way of expressing this, I believe. Thank you ~ Rainydays |

Lots of depth in this poem Bob more to it than meets the eye....the forces of nature are crying out to the sun for relief...we've got a lot to consider when we observe the wonderful beauty of a magnificent tree....good work!!...ethome |

Rainydays, Well, You do prefer the winter to the autumn anyway, right? I am glad that the title got your attention and that you read on to find some symbolism which you could relate to.... Juls, You are just that! I am privileged to be know as your brother in the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that we will both shine as jewels one day in that Heavenly kingdom. Marcy, You do know for a fact that I appreciate you beyond words... To me your replies are "stunning pieces of art" expressing a personal love and acceptance. Thank you. Mark, You are such an excellent poet and such remarks truly humble my spirit. Thank you for reading and even more for being my friend. ethome, You are right, there are emotions here that reach the realms of prophecy... I am glad that you had vision to feel them in your heart. I do believe that there will come a time as such... "Fire's Glow." |
