Didn't mean to be away so long. I've just been super-busy and tired. I've still been writing, just not posting. So here's a heaping helping of four new poems to make amends (with you, with my friends and with myself). Mike -it's been a while- I wound my mantel clock with elastics. The gears fell out: springs and used calendar pages. I keep them in my pocket; little weighted eyes, pie charts of my failure. So, I was hoping you weren't too busy tonight I told the greasiest sprocket. I wear her as a locket. Strung her to my neck with piano wire. Tomorrow, I hope to gut the rest of my empty. Add some color to this lack of festivity. |
