Forgotten times of crystal chimes, ...soft hush of spring's first rain, Paths not taken, now forsaken, ...sweet sorrows without pain, As wisps of air, tease ebon hair, ...rememberance of thee, Of flowing streams and flowered dreams, ...of love not meant to be, Evening's calm, love's soothing balm, ...of joy once known to me, Cool autumn breeze, as summer flees, ...farewell, thy memory, Night's sailing ships, soft satin lips, ...no more a new day's dawn, Velvet petals, tarnished metals, ...sweet scent of rose now gone, Call of the loon, a hunter's moon, ...whispers on the wind, Words not spoken, promise broken, ...heartaches never end, Upon a star, I gaze afar, ...upon an angel's face, Foevermore, means nevermore, ...forever elfin grace, Forgotten times of crystal chimes, ...awakened from their sleep, For in mine heart, shall never part, ...forever will thy keep. A very hauntingly romantic poem here! "When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass, and the sun drips honey."" Laurie Lee Kathleen |

Mike, do you write music? Your rhythm and wistful sense of rememberance in this piece are earthy and alluring...so lovely. First love or any love not pursued. (sigh) Rainydays |

Mike~ This is just so pretty. I was so reminded of my favorite song. 'If I was not the first, just say I'll be the last. It's too much to expect, but it's not too much to ask.' (lyrics from It's Not Too Much To Ask Mary Chapin Carpenter and Joe Diffie) How very, very lovely is this one, my friend. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
