Enchantment is an open door My charm has pulled you in Each time a little more Your thoughts will turn to sin Enthralled with all I tell you Possessing with delight You wonder how I do it Consume your thoughts each night Enchant you while your sleeping Captivate you through the day Just like a snake that slithers Nary I word I need to say Yet powerful this feeling I leave with you each time You fight with all your reason Yet still I crowd your mind Don’t ask me to release it Not something I can do The first step now is over The next is up to you. |

... cant wait to see the replies to this one very cool poem ... its rare we see a poem from this viewpoint.. the flame to which we moths are drawn has a voice.... poetically speaking of course  well written poem... enjoyed the premise of it as well as the cadence and wording. "Don’t ask me to release it Not something I can do The first step now is over The next is up to you" ===================== tis true we can only release our selves.. either that or fly into the flame ... take the fall ... crawl the wall ... pardon the ramblings of this moth... this one hits home tonite... later-charmed-gator jm |
