New Day Dawning There’s a new day dawning With promise comes the sun I’ve found my smile again And peace that was hard won Yesterday’s hurt has been released Today brings new hope Whatever troubles I encounter I’ll find a way to cope I’ve cut the ties that held me back My heart has been set free I’m focusing on what’s important: Celebrating life and loving me [This message has been edited by Tara Simms (edited 11-01-2000).] |

Thank you all for bearing with me during my gloomy days. Sing with me now, "here comes the sun..." Serenity, there's a ray of hope with your name on it. Take me as I am or watch me as I go |

I’ve cut the ties that held me back My heart has been set free I’m focusing on what’s important: Celebrating life and loving me To love yourself is often a hard thing to do, I remember it took me a while to find my self worth, don't let anyone take it from you. Well written poem, loved it. "an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women". Patti Smith |

Thank you all for the replies! No secret to it, just got to make the decision to stop torturing myself with painful memories. I've found a way to let go of the hurt and remember the lessons I've learned. Take me as I am or watch me as I go |
