Mama please, dont make me go
My tummy hurts really it does
Get up I have no time for this nonsense
Hurry now get dressed
You are going to make me late for work again

And she stumbles into the classroom
Warily watching his face
You're late again little miss
You know what that means
You will have to stay after class
And the tears well up in her eyes

All day the panic rises
And at lunch she tries to tell her friend
Please dont leave me alone today
Please stay after with me
Please tell your mama to take me home

But theres no one there to save her
No one to hear her tiny voice
After all, she's just a child
And him, why he's a respected teacher
A man well known in this town

And when the last bell rings
And he takes her by the hand
Teaching her things no child should learn
Her tears fall unchecked
And no one hears...her silent scream.

I wonder if people know that this goes on every day by the so called respected pillars of their community. Thank you for putting it in print. Parents please for the sake of your child, stop and talk to them about these kind of things. It is not only teachers, it is also police, preachers and even PARENTS. Male and female alike

Paula, this is excellant, a subject that should be talked about but isn't. So often even when it's discovered it's all swept under the carpet.
Brilliant write Paula absolutely brilliant.
Take care

Paula, this is heartwrenching.   This subject does need to be brought out into the light of day; it's been in the shadows for far too long.

Paula,
This is very touching, brought tears to my face. We really have to be careful of who mind our children at all times. A courageous write.

Sunny girl...I never feel like I have done enough when it comes to a child...thank you me twin

Sea...hate to say this but kids are never truly safe...it could be a teacher, a police officer, your preacher...you just never know...thats why we have to LISTEN.

Marsha...yes because its easier...or better for thr child...WRONG...thank you

Pepper...the only ones who can bring it into the open are you and I...thanks

Daniel...our kids are the most precious thing we have...but in todays society they are treated like throwaways

Serenity...no not from experience...I just feel that as adults we get to complacent...we forget to be vigilant where our kids are concerned...and we need our eyes pried open...this is an excellent place to do that. But i will take the information you have gladly.

Paula~
So well said hon, what you wrote is scary stuff but it happens and like you said we need to listen to the little voices who are so often ignored until it is way too late.

Very touchy subject handled very well. It can and does happen in schools and in family homes. Parents need to listen to their kids closer. We need tougher laws for it. To me this is the worse crime there is.

Yes Alan there is no greater crime than that inflicted on a child...but until we as adults stand up and tell our judges we refuse to tolerate it anymore, well Im afraid its just gonna happen again and again...
