Marsha Muses Meditatively

Or What's A Paradelle?

Rhyme is fairly easy it's really not too hard
And a sonnet? Huh! I'll just imaginge I'm the Bard
I've written an epitaph, which seemed rather fun
A limerick poking fun at a fictional silly nun
But this paradiddle, para Oh! Para thingy Oh!whatever
I just can't get this thing, not now. No, not ever

I know it's not simple repitition that's clear to me
It's not alliteration I can do that too, you see
An acrostic isn't easy, but I manage it given time
I've tried writing freely, flowing smoothly line by line
Two line, four lines it matters not, no not at all
It's paradelladodo well it sounds such a strange call

Love poems, and heart outpourings that I've written
Telling my lover that with him I'm really so smitten
Funny rhymes that have brought me a golden smile
Poems that speak of journeys, tramping mile on mile
Little verses that delight as up they gently bubble
But paradelle and tylenol now they sound just like trouble

Mushy Marsha

Hahaha Marsha ~ I can SURE relate to this... but the tylenol and paradelle...well, to me they just seem to go hand in hand (I mean writing them...not reading, love to read 'em and stand in awe of those who can write 'em).  Bonnie

Kethry, glad you liked it, there was no way I could do it, did I not tell you I was awestruck. And I am truly. Far too hard for my simple soul. As for changing the rules, now why do you think my sisters call me chaos! Exactly!

BSC, they obviously have a connection, and not just that I can't do them. I do enjoy reading them but they are really beyond my league. Glad it brought a smile anyway.

Doc, glad you liked it, I suppose that having failed so miserably on the paradelle, I had to just change the rules a little. (Okay I changed the rules a lot!) Still if it brought you a smile, then I'm pleased.

Dee, I cheated on the spelling, I checked it on Marge's poem. Otherwise I'd have been completely mystified. Glad you liked it, and you know what my sense of humours like. (Yes love very strange   )
Tricks, is brilliant at them, and I'm in awe.
Far to complicated for me.
Be good
              Bubbles
Mark my friend, I was very frustrated, I couldn't work them out at all. But if you did try them I know that at least you'd stick to the rules, and not do what I did and throw the rule book out the window.
Still if nothing else it made you smile and that's worth while.
(Still it's a warning not to play poker with me, who knows what I might do if the game got too hot!   )

Marge, so now you know that I'm absolutely no good at paradella. I'm amazed anyone comes out of the maze with their head on straight, so I'm in awe of anyone that can do them. Let alone with such skill as you do.
I'm pleased it brought a chuckle

Ethome, thank you, truly, and I'm really happy it made you smile.

Take care

This is great! And sooo true
A paradelle is worse than a villanelle
It's a maze of words that won't fit together
It's a mind teaser, a headache maker, and begs the question "is it worth it?"
But then there's Dr. Moose, who makes it sound so easy.
Oh, well, incidentally, I loved this poem

Elizabeth, thank you, and I'm sorry I've taken so long to do so. I must admit, that I do enjoy reading these paradelladodo's but I really have no idea how they are constructed. I'm far to simple a soul for them. Still those who can do, and those like me who can't look on amazed. It's a bit like watching the high wire act at the circus, I admire the skill and balance, but know they'd never get me up there.
Anyway I'm glad you liked this rhyme.

Maybe we should rename it "parredolle".. so it rhymes with tylenol better...

Looks like you've cheated fair and square here...

Nan, thank you, I did enjoy writing this. If only to prove to myself that the

Paradelladodo, paradiddle, parapiddle
Oh whatever wasn't the idea form for me.
As for tylenollo tyrinoll oh tylenol
it's makes me yearn for a voodoo doll
The trouble is they make my head spin
And the sheer waste of paper in the bin
So I'll leave this Paradiddle ah do do
To the clever one's, yes I do mean you!

Denise, I can't do those either, haiku, they may seem simple but they take all the skill that I patently don't have. There's another one begins with an S but my brains like a sieve and I can't remember what it's called. Never mind I'm obviously never going to do it, so c'est la vie.
I'm pleased you liked this, it was my fun poem, written for it's smiles value, and it certainly has done that.
