November Of Remember
~*Marge Tindal*~

The colors of Autumn abundant,
a chill of fall in the air.
A November to be thankful
for all that we hold dear.

Crisp cool nights,
snowfall for some.
Stars shining brightly,
Thanksgiving will soon come.

The calendar passes quickly,
as day turns to night.
A pilgrimage of thankfulness,
our God-given right.

Beautiful leaves of color,
lay in heaps upon the ground.
Time for roasting corn
and new friendships to be found.

A November of remember
it truly will be.
Come, my friends,
remember it with me.

I shall remember many things
a time of giving, bells that ring
people past, and people of present
the shift of tides at moon's crescent

and I shall remember giving thanks for you
so Cheers to Marge, for what you do...

I remember Grandmas' hands
Flour dusted and soft
As she wipes away the tears
From my dirty little face
Then offers me a taste
Of butterscotch homemade and sweet
HAHAHA...I always was Grannys' favorite

Oh Marge, this takes me back to so many wonderful Thanksgivings. There were 8 of us kids back then and my mom and dad. All of us and our kids would all get together at one house and man oh man would we have fun. It was soooooo crowded but we didn't mind. Us girls and mom would practically stay up all night laughing and talking anyway. There would be like 2 different tables of spades games (spades runs in my families blood, lol) going on and enough food and desserts to feed an army. Laughter and joy filled the home. We don't do that anymore since my dad and sister passsed away and I miss it so much. Many thanks for bringing these wonderful memories back to my mind.

Chill of Fall?
Leaves on the ground?
Cool, crisp nights?

Marge, did you move without telling me???

So palm trees don't lose their leaves?...hehehe....say, if you all want to rake leaves, piles and piles of them, just head up this way! Oh, yes, we have plenty of chill too and soon, I'm sure, tons of snow.   You can shovel that while you are here, too!

Beautiful poem, Marge!
