Each Halloween three ghosts decide It's time to take a midnight ride. They've stayed under the ground all year, And now their night for freedom's here. They saddle up three dragons black. Each ghost sits on a dragon's back. They spur them on across the sky Ten or fifteen miles high. You can trace their celestial route. If you awaken and look out. They cross the sky from West to East, Each ghost upon its raven beast. The goal of ghosts is to deceive. And so they want you to believe That it's not them you really see But clouds within a group of three. But here's the truth: Ghosts are seen Every year on Halloween. When you see clouds passing by Against the spooky, midnight sky, Remember three ghosts sit astride Black dragons on a midnight ride Each Halloween, and they'd prefer We didn't know that they were there. |
