In the short time I've been here,  I've been welcomed with open arms and hearts, and been inspired by each and everyone, i try to read everything I can, and respond as such, But mostly I want to thank everyone for accepting me as one of their own...This is not neccessarily about me (I) but all of us...each in their own way

I am
The prophet
Cursed with the blessing
Of knowing
All that was
That is now
And yet to be.
I am
The piteous
That tiny voice
Crying in the night
That you try to block out.
I will never go away.
I am
The preacher
Dealing advice
Like cards of chance
To those who seek a better hand
For those who wish to heed.
I am
The pretender
Dreaming forever
Exchanging reality
For that which may have been
For that is now
In hopes of what will be.
I am
The prodigy
Wise among my peers
Though by choice
I stand quietly
Within their shadows
Watching as the play unfolds.
Of all these things I am,
I am but one,
I am
The poet
Tossing words
Like wishful coins
Into the deep well
Of an open heart.

Sure, Ron. Click into Members Area then Change Your Profile and scroll down till you see a field that says Signature...just type in there what you want....keep it short though, it only holds so many characters...not sure how many but I'd keep it to a sentence or two.

~Tapestry of Poets~

Putting pen to paper,
Exchanging words for rhyme.
Sharing a hearts sentiment...
Capturing a life's moment in time.

Expressions of affection,
Portraits of old pain.
Confessions from a souls shadow,
A poets wisdom to gain.

Creating tapestries of emotion,
Woven with affirmations of gold.
Whispered promises echo in the night,
Unveiling a prophets vision to behold.

Redemption confirms our presence,
Fate then casts a guiding light.
Revealing poetic secrets of our past...
Allows our souls to take flight.

the effect this place has on our poetry is magic..we grow in the light here
thank you for bringing thoses memories back for me this morn
so glad to have you here with us...
it is always a pleasure to see another poet
who truly adores poetry.

Yes, Ron, this is great. And we are all of those things, at different times. But mostly poets. And lovers, and fighters.
Keep on writing.

Ron my man, you are definitely one of the finest here and I know that I am not the only one to think so as you can tell. In your very short time here you have given us many wonderful works of yours as well as a mountain of replies and well, this one is no exception.  You have captured the poet very well in this one and I am sure we can all relate.  Thank you much and please don't ever think about leaving.  We love having you here.

Ron in answer to your question about putting a 'signature' on the bottom of a post, go into Member's Area and into create your own profile and you'll work it all from there.

This is a lovely description of poets hon, I'm gonna add this to my private library!!!

We took you in as one of our own cos you are!!

These are my favorite ones, the poems from people who have found Passions and feel comfortable and continue to express themselves. You did it very well!

Welcome! Welcome! Ron it's good to have you with us! You've inspired me too....

From A Living Poet

I Aim to be a Lyrical- Miracle,

With real substance, yet, somewhat satirical.

A wizard of words, stirring and stewing

Pastel rainbows while storm clouds are brewing.

A mid- winter rose or a cold desert rain,

Blending smile and tear, mixing promise with pain.

I'm the moon at noon and mismatched socks,

The self- appointed Prince of Paradox.

To delight or disgust, for sneers or applause,

To mimic and mirror this land and its laws

I please, I provoke, I keep their hearts pounding

But not until death are poets "Astounding!"

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind!"...Dr. Seuss
