One Small Simple Step

One small simple step
I watch my world disappear
Quickly vanishing in the horizon
Becoming nothing but fond memories

One small simple step
I take to be closer to you
Seeing my future in you eyes
Seeing eternity in the love that we share

One small simple step
Begins a bright adventure
A journey through life with you
Making new memories to fill my heart

One small simple step
To join our two hearts as one
Souls connected always and forever
Growing with our love and with our strength

One small simple small step
To lead me to where I want to be
To stand by your side as long as I live
To cherish you everyday that you’re with me.

One small simple step
Two hearts residing in wind
Blown against doors of screen
Wisping through with warming embrace

Lovely write my friend.  One step at a time is that proper place to take it.

Mark - Thank you stopping in   I'm glad you liked it

I'm sorry I have been away for so long, writing has not been coming very easily to me lately. I think I am slowly overcoming this writer's block that has been chasing me.  Hopefully I will be posting more.
