Why should you be the only one
To make my senses reel?
I've never felt whatever this is
That you make me feel.
I've wrestled with many questions
Wondering right from wrong,
But I think that maybe somehow
I have known all along
That your smile is a beacon
Lighting and showing my way,
Your touch is an addiction
I need every day.
I've no wish or will to resist
Your remarkable charms
For I keep feeling I belong
Forever in your arms.
You could rip a hole in my heart
Nothing could ever mend,
But I trust you completely
And throw caution to the wind.

i believe your eye is focused on someone very special. I hope that person see this. You write very nicely. I feel your desires for that person, that chance you'll take.

Suthern!!!   I can't believe you would write such a heart-wrenching poem for me knowing Toe might see it by mistake!

er, just in case you wrote it for him, let me state AGAIN and, as this poem clearly shows....you're WAY too good for the bum!!

Love your style, Ruth, if not your choice in men..

Balladeer: I can't believe you would think you could change my mind... or even that you would want to. *G* After all, you sure don't want me after you! LOL

Marge: My mother always told me that if I wore my feelings on my sleeves, someone was bound to bump against them and hurt them. *G* But I guess wearing love on my sleeves is better than wearing a chip on my shoulders??? LOL

Martie: I always feel my words fall short of doing justice. *S*

Mark, RG, Janet, CocoBaci, tracie & Kethry: My dinosaur computer has learned a brand new trick I wish it hadn't learned - for all of you, it shows that you responded but won't let me read your comments. Do you know what that does to my curiosity? Especially since I can read comments on other poems, but not my own? LOL. Thank you for reading... even if it will be tomorrow at work before I can see your words. *S*

Thank you all very much!!

Ahhhh... now that I can actually SEE the responses, it's much easier to answer! *G*

Mark: Thank you for the stars! *S*

RG: You know I didn't mean for you to cry... just know without doubt you are loved!! Big hugs, many prayers, and lots and lots of love!

Janet: I never thought of singe proof mascara! *G* Does it work? Do you still get that awful burned hair smell? LOL Thanks!

Coco, Tracie, & Kethry: Thank you for your kind comments... they're greatly appreciated.

Nan: Your praise means a lot to me... thank you! (And right now, my energy is non-existent... but his worth is beyond measure. *G*)

Elizabeth: Dear lady, you wrote the book on celebrating unconditional love and faith... I just borrowed a page. *S* Thank you!

Sunshine: Hmmmm... as full of hot air as I am, the wind shifts constantly. LOL. Thanks!
