A Poet’s Pondering

Ink of pen speaks for scarlet lips
Desire recorded on perfume paper
Written words are smiles to heart
Sorrow drinks of our blood no more
So says the poet’s pen

Flight of fantasy dreams you in
Fuel body my sensual amorist
Lust electrifies consuming me
As two half souls clinch to one
Such is the poet’s pillow

Shall I daydream flowers of winter
Reflect mysteries of universe
Or ask of Heaven what it sees
Powers of intellect focus on you
For you, are all this poet ponders

Oh my friend, how did I miss this one?  This is so awesome and I agree with some of the others in that last line says so much.  Hard to not let the pen touch what consumes us.  Wonderful creation my dear friend. Big hugs to you.

Amazing how the thoughts in our minds are spilled out onto the paper...some sad, some passionate, some loving, some caring, some dreamy, some intense, and some very revealing.  James
