Caught up together in these bonds
We neither fight nor resent their weight
Lightly do they rest on our shoulders
Steel is no stronger than these
Fashioned with love, like silk they lie
Holding our hearts, our souls interwoven
We've been through the fire of pain
Shared laughter and tears
These bonds have passed all tests
And still remain
Bonds we have forged ourselves
Bonds of love

Peppermint, beautifully written, never let me free from those chains of love. Love this poem I really do.
Take care

peppermint, this is a great poem!  I read another one of your poems about true friendship and loved it!  This one is excellent, as well!  Wonderful writing, my friend!

Beautiful. And you know, this is how I thought things were with myself and the men who has hurt me so much. Amazing how we can fool ourselves. Sorry to digress, this is a wonderful writing.

even if I hadn't loved your poem - I would be glad I read for the chance to read ron's words - which compliment yours so well- had you two considered a duet?
