Ghost winds moan in the night in the bed of the desert under sheets of moonlight blood of coyotes boil within listening to haunting moans of ghost legend sins the laughter in the air and saloon moonshine the Miss Kitty's of the west and the cheap red wine ghost winds haunt the desert oasis in the saddle of the night are cowboy faces mystic sands swirl within the dunes voices of lovers moan to haunting guitar tunes A poem is never finished, only abandoned. - Paul Valery (1871-1945) |
