adagio ... softest strings with so hushed a tone perfect unison infects the ears light touches of celloing lows voices rising with a quickened pace reaching the top of a range not yet heard a sudden stop and quiet's pulse is again -- back to its origins of birth as a kiss from love's adagio M.A. Miller 10.25.00 (inspired by Samuel Barber's, "Adagio for Strings") My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive.
