Is it possible, or even plausible or even rational or irrational some would say to love to much? Should We only share a certain part and not give all away knowing it may not come back again? Should we dare to need and not succeed to have the love that we all desire Is it worth the pain that makes us all insane and yearning to go even deeper So I ask you again is it possible to love to much? |

You can't love too much if it is returned You can't love too little if it is spurned. Jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

Should We only share a certain part and not give all away How we all hide a little... to protect ourselves...in case the hurt comes. Ron |

Rosebud I think in the beginning when we are first falling in Love before we are sure of the others feelings we sometimes give too much because we see it as an opportunity to gain love from the other...we don't want to miss the chance to please them and perhaps share love with them...later if love doesn't happen we feel confident that we lived the moment fully...it just was not meant to be...James |

Yes, it is possible, but if expected to get it back with which it is given is to court unhappiness. Love unconditionally. You've captured the question well, nice piece. [This message has been edited by Gemini (edited 10-25-2000).] |

Rosebud1229 this is good, and very thought provoking. I think we can never love too much, but perhaps we do hold back too much. 'Should We only share a certain part and not give all away knowing it may not come back again?' It's difficult to do anything else, when you've been hurt. What a dilema? Jon |

I dont think we can love too much but is a waste sometimes when not appreciated or returned...nicely written.. ~Victoria~ A poem is never finished, only abandoned. - Paul Valery (1871-1945) |

thanks everyone, I know this is a dilema indeed just like you said Jon, on the one hand you want to give all you have on the other hand, it really hurts when it's not given back so sometimes we try to give more and more until finally there's just no more to give, love is kinda like a give and take but if only one gives all the time we run out. James I have to say sometimes we do jump right in head first or is it heart first well maybe both and then we have to remind ourselves things take time. Gemini, glad someone can understand sometimes you can't help yourself, but to love unconditionally, kinda like the heart has a mind of it's own.Victoria your so right it's better to love but it's most certainly better to feel that love returned. |
