In my life, down this well. Draw the bucket up. Dark, cold and clean. Just a touch from a friend. Do you know the stars? The stew of light and shadow? A meal for a prayer barely breathing? Love tastes like smooth stones. Mineral wash, pearl. Sunlight fade, dawn. Just. The warm cocoon and net. Next. Just me. |

"love tastes like smooth stones"...what a great line...the whole poem touched me, made me want to say, yes, I'll be your friend, and then made me want to cry....go figure. |
