we drank in the salty ocean spray and ate some of her salmon for our last supper on the island I remember because I logged on in one of my old journals dating back to early 2000 what kind of crew had we become living out of dumpsters looking for a treasure... there, on a bun with a single order of fries on the side was my pursuit all bottled in the first year of my destiny in the 21st. century yes, brave men and women enduring the most extreme privations with stirring fortitude bearing lamentation and such as you’d never believe... while unfortunately in pursuit of goals that ultimately proved worthless in the finding not to forget their dearly departed who left for higher ground in eternal suburbs some call paradise it was in such times that I recall these especially sad songs having overtones interlaced with mocking wails many crusades over the soles & into the interior of life were sent out in those years and so depressively close to the surface some of us were lucky though and ducked others simply walked on egg shells heads doggy ear drooped trying to capture sunbeams near the end of hesitant rains speaking of which none have ever found nope not even to this day I swear it most pretend to not know of the bleeding to the sea and you know something else almost everyone of those missions turned to sour which lead to this summation perhaps no one in the department of inquiry has expended so many dollars and so many lives in pursuit of oh so desperately pointless a dream not to mention energy many sailed imaginary dreams just to find them nourished by tears my journals paint many an amazing thread of those babbling stone brooks of the daring the botched and the absurd adventures however I never could really explain so well but in its combination of tragic ridiculousness and ludicrous daring it is an irresistible not to mention absorbing tale to say the least [This message has been edited by lucky (edited 10-25-2000).] |
