Heading South

He’s heading south, south
on his horse he wends his way
leaving north behind
looking for his senorita
who smiles at him her way
he’s heading south, south
to place his lips upon her mouth
leaving north behind
he’ll find his senorita
no matter how the path may wind

he heard her song wend the wind so fine
and all she said that reached his ear
is ‘we’ll be together in time’

he’s heading south, south
he’ll not end this trip till he’s done
leaving north behind
looking for his senorita
in whose eyes is his setting sun
he’s heading south, south
his steed so frantic, runs
leaving north behind
to find his senorita
for he heard the owl’s spirit in kind

he heard her song wend the wind so fine
and all she said that reached his ear
is ‘we’ll be together in time’

it’s been years since he felt like this
he’s always looked for that one sweet kiss
in all the others, their eyes held lies
he’s waited his life for this one surprise
he’s heading south, south
he’ll not end this trip till he’s done
looking for his senorita
in whose eyes is his setting sun

for he heard her song wend the wind so fine
all she said that reached his ear
is ‘we’ll be together in time’
and he’ll not look back at north again

Yes indeed, this is a song...I can hear it, with a little flamenco style guitar riff too...beautiful, sunshine!

This is wonderful Sunshine. . .

And SEA, I thought that this would be a better song for Alan Jackson myself. . .

I can hear it now. . .
