I prop up this life with crutches; still slip in oil, still spill tears. wah wah wah wah wah I reached the mountain's summit, realized i still have my fears. blah blah blah blah blah I stand triumphant looking out; on the trumpet and bugle i sound. rah rah rah rah rah It's not what I lost, nor what I found. ha ha ha ha ha |

You've touched on several emotions Mike, from sadness through triumphant joy in this piece ... I really liked your opening line: "I prop up this life with crutches;". You got me thinking on this one (and smiling with the la la la's) Best wishes, /Kit |

Now, this is cool...inventive...that always gets me... K "He looked across the silky surface of the Severn... it was a famously difficult river with fierce tides..." From Jack Maggs |

Mike...I'm sick of my moods too. and I'm cracking up over here, and I hope you know why...maybe your poetry should have a "warning" or something...oh goodness. wah wah wah wah wah. I think you're terrific, you know that? |

I enjoyed it too with its subtle, sardonic voice. All your different kinds of la la's were an interesting touch! Rainydays |

Interesting poem of emotions. A "tune" most can relate to. Deb |
