As Geoffrey stumbles sleepy-eyed once more He barely gets his pup outside the door An accident’s avoided on the floor This time – but it was close you can be sure. Next Berkeley’s stalking Simba fearlessly Then pounces on his prey courageously And rolls around the room ferociously A tumbling bundle of hilarity. Sometimes the boy regrets his promise to Take care of him, scoop up the doggy-do; He’d love to sleep again the morning through And quiet moments sure seem mighty few. But Berkeley owns a piece of Geoffrey’s heart A guarantee they’ll never be apart. Denise (I wrote this for a co-worker's son who just got his first dog. Berkeley (the dog) is pronounced like Barkley. He loves to 'attack' his Simba stuffed animal, which is way bigger than him.....so funny to see!) p.s. I'm showing off my grandson, Christian, here! Isn't he a little cutie!!? This is so sweet and speaks volumes of one of those rare things that actually have not changed over time. Truely one of the most beautiful gifts bestowed upon us and you have brought it to us wrapped in the lovliness of your words. |

For the love of a little boy, you are so sweet. Well done. A dog, a companion. But Berkeley owns a piece of Geoffrey’s heart A guarantee they’ll never be apart. Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |
