Please Come Out And They Did

No stars remain this early morn,
was looking towards their heavenly light,
to wish upon one so bright.

Was going to ask if this day be blessed,
come what may, come what might.

Obscured by this seasons plight,
I keep searching for their powerful light.

The moon just a sliver far to the west,
the sun not yet risen but
guaranteed to be oh so bright.

I sit with anticipation hoping for a
break in the storm’s wake, looking
to the heavens for a little peace in my life
for goodness sake.

Patience please I tell myself,
as I notice the eastern glow begin
ever so softly, knowing upon its cresting
I shall have to wait until the next
days dawn.

The wind now begins to blow,
giving me a chance I know and sure enough
in a seconds time the clouds do part
and the stars do shine.

I take sight of a mighty star
just to the north, but knowing just how far
my wish must travel before it reaches
such a heavenly gift.

Bowing my head to give thanks
for listening, that mighty light gave
a twinkle to let me know my wish
was heard, So I said thank you with
tender affection.

Now I sit in much contentment
to enjoy the remainder of the dawn,
believing in my heart this days been blessed
the sun did come and I do smile.

Cerenity.....
Sometimes it helps to look upon something that we know is a constant, never-changing force, like the sun and the stars. Kind of makes you feel more secure!  Nice writing!!!

Cerenity, beautifully written poem, reminds me of the full Monday last Saturday which was very special to me.

What sometimes we can't see we must trust to be there for us anyway.  Most often we find they are hiding inside of us.  Wonderful piece to read this morning and no there are no stars out now but I do know that they are waiting for tonight to wink at me again.

..all these great poems floating to the top.

Cerenity,  I love this! Waiting, patience, anticipating, amid storm searching for a light, disappointed-not giving up-returning tomorrow, with hope, then it apears!!..the
break you were looking for.... the confirmation and peace.

Sorry for the rambling but this is wonderful !    Marcy
