Of Myrtle and Myrrh is my love made One day I shall rule the world When passion and pride put death to shade And ride with flag unfurled. The patriot and the thief have seen the joyride into hell. Then will choose life, above the queen But say, "my soul does well". The conqueror and king doth serve the land, they are not their own And pierced by the bloody head and hand The meek shall take the throne. The throng that cries for vengeance now Will soon cry peace e'er more Weapons soon become the plough Though demons seek the door. Then death and life shall join as one A king and priest I'll be I shall then know I'm not alone For grace gives victory. Growth demands a temporary surrender of security. Gail Sheehy |
