When I look at myself
And the gem that I’ve mined
Then see bags of treasure
Do I feel less refined?

I feel that I’m soaring
When I’m just left alone
You can shine a brighter star
I’m content that mine is shone

Amass your frilly friends
In your tiny universe
Gather in the midnight sky
Your beauty’s great
But it cannot wait
It’s dead ‘fore it meets my eye

I was feeling a little
Less than beautiful
Then came my lady and her smile
Her eyes twinkle silver stars
And mine cut moonbeam gems
So I lay down in my treasure pile

If there was needed
A magic ruby
To run the lifeless
Robot’s heart
She would be
The shining glory
That gave this life
A brand new start

Our universe
As small as theirs
But ever is expanding
Love is sharing
In growth; in spirit
But never to be demanding

Look up to the midnight sky
I hope you see in your mind’s eye
The newest constellation
Words that read “I’m beautiful!
I’m happy of my creation!”

Yes..yes..This was beautiful. I found that this could be about more than just one thing though. Loved it, Walt!

Walt~
Far be it from me to judge beauty
or the lack of it ...
but I know enough to know a little gem when I see one -

'I was feeling a little
Less than beautiful
Then came my lady and her smile
Her eyes twinkle silver stars
And mine cut moonbeam gems
So I lay down in my treasure pile'

I JUST DID ! !
