As I sit and watch the news
there is violence all around,
I wonder what has happened
to our peaceful little towns?

Kids are taking guns to school
they let their tempers flare,
they shatter dreams and break the hearts
of parents everywhere.

We hear of drug busts all around
the law is working hard,
to rid the streets of all they can
before it goes too far.

The gangs of kids who walk the streets
cause trouble here and there,
the violence and the mischief
is seen most everywhere.

We must stand up for our rights
and make our prescence known,
we must start to take a stand
and show that we are strong.
