Distant Time They met on a night of rhyming delight The weather was warm and the stars were bright. I believe the poem launching the air Was something about a home comings prayer. Where cherry blossoms filled the trees That cast a scent of lovers breeze. And where the lover could not wait The coming of that fate full date. To take her in his loving arms And feel for real her loving charms. To touch her with finger tips To kiss the real of her lips. Pressing to him her open soul The other part to make him whole. They cried a tear it would appear And fantasied the ache of near. Now these friends of poets rhyme Suffer they in distant time. |

Seymour~ This is just the prettiest thing. I'm saving it for special late-night meanderings through favorites. Very special it speaks. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Pressing to him her open soul The other part to make him whole. They cried a tear it would appear And fantasied the ache of near. Now these friends of poets rhyme Suffer they in distant time. although the entire piece was a wonderful read, I have to say...that when I finished reading the above lines, I had a lump in my throat. Those words closed this piece up perfectly! I loved this and will read it again. Well done.
