You, in slivered layers
of ripened jackets
that hinder manifestation
of your vulnerable sphere
Domestic chisels on the side
wait to carve a slice
of your complex cloak
Mishandling with care
tore away the outer bronze
that was your pride
You cried for days,
sought hibernation
in that cold place
a transparent veil
your heart to hide
on pungent sleeves
Stayed from view
in state of rest
But greedy hands
still reach out
the bulb to kill
Tied in hungry knots
the pangs of savoury need
urge the malnutritioned pit
the opalescence to peel away
The hacking of the blade begins
you, blinded by their silver glare
victimized again,
by connoisseurs'
strategic dicing
and other tricks

So I havent lost my marbles for likening human beings to onions?  Whew!  Thank goodness. I had myself worried there for a minute!

Anyways, thank you.  I'm glad you liked it.  My mind works in weird ways and I get ideas out of nowhere about the silliest things sometimes.

Thanks again

So I'm among company then?

I guess I'll do a search to find out what other kinds of "onions" are here.

Mona Lisa,
Well thought of poem, perhaps the title of
"Vulnerable sphere",may have been more appropriate. Greatly sliced stuff!

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
