Autumn Prayers and Memories

She's walking outside all by herself
On a crystal autumn day
As the leaves softly flutter to the ground
The girl begins to pray.
She asks God about her soul friend
Who's been gone a number of years
And wonders if he is in Heaven
She's cried so many tears.
She misses him more than she can say
But always he's been in her heart
So she knows that when she remembers
They cannot be truly apart.
On this day in the month of October
Her heart and soul hear God say
That her friend is safe and in Heaven
And they'll be together one day.
So for all the rest of her time on Earth
She'll be thankful that he was her friend
And remember that he is happy with God
And know that their love will not end.

Oh Elizabeth, this is so truly lovely. What a heart-felt and touching read this was. I've so often had a stroll and pondered these same thoughts. When I do receive an answer, such warmth surrounds my heart ... just beautiful ...

Best wishes,
