                   Feline Thoughts

                   Twilight draws near
                   on sable feet
                   ethereally, cautiously

                   lamplight's gentle radiance
                   casting
                   old ivory luminescence
                   on thy countenance

                   which only thy feline
                   observes, green cat's-eye
                   unblinking
                   in yellow lamplight

                   and you ponder,
                   "what doth it see?"
                   knowing there be
                   no answer

                   as no feline
                   would ever confide
                   nor would endure
                   a mortal
                   that would

                   as eventide draws
                   upon thee
                   black and yet
                   blacker, this be
                   thy night

                   of sable feet
                   ~~ethereal~~

                   and this feline
                   would draw
                   thy breath
                   away…..
