Waiting for the night's passage I tear down my mind Putting away your sad message The children are dreaming As the dog barked a hollow goodbye I watched you slide out Silently from the room You turned slightly and starred I could not stop you from moving on The candles at the table had faded The night outs had disappeared You knew I would take care of the children As you stepped out into a new day As the darkness made way for the sun I have always loved you My darling, my shatterred heart aches As the sun brings on beautiful blue skies These days I play with the children Are not the same without you For we all miss you I take care of your favourite roses Bringing one in the room each day May the sun bring out more blue skies As I wait for your return And the smiles on your face Shining in your beautiful eyes Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |
