maiden of earthly surrounds ... the country lane called my name for years i did not listen hesitant to see her path's truth reluctant to hear her crick's song time lost without a staying visit her beckoning's aria upon the wind filtered through my window's crease summoning my deepest hidden fears to surface upon a light's shining to reveal my hardened heart's grist as i stand freely upon her narrows now her beauty only begins to infuse my want of things not of her womb has confused my own humanity's beast so my walk among her glories to commence oh nature's maiden of earthly surrounds take my hand as my struggle continues show me your marvels in greens and browns mystery abounds in your wondrous views keep my eyes open and focused on truth M.A. Miller 10.16.00 < !signature--> My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. this is beautiful, the peace found in nature is hard to put to words, for me anyway, but you did it well |

thanks Corazon ... nature is a deceptively simple thing, but difficult to capture its essence ... thanks for reading |
