I left you breathless
hopeless
winded from a marathon
that never ended

I want you back
from this story with no end
God knows I would
were the ending any different

but I'm not supposed to
or want to
I'm supposed to play like an adult
where no-one cries
and no-one feels

I want to cross these hurdles
between us
in limitless leaps
of fearless faith
and just remind you
I love you
and I always have

a fantastic entrance. very Olympic-esque. i liked the words "limitless leaps of fearless faith". very eloquent and beautiful. also a nice promise of works to come.

Welcome to Passions, where all women are safe from rascally scalawag men as long as they trust only me. I like the alliteration you used in this poem. It makes it flow smoothly along to the really great finish. You can trust the women, too. They are all very sweet and supportive. They've had a lot of practice because Toerag and Balladeer have left them swooning once too often.
