A recent study of planets, at random, Proves the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence And the fact that we haven’t yet met them Leads us to think that they live in elegance And have studied American culture. From the scripture traced on Uranus, We translated, (I quote) “For the vultures;”-- (our spaceships) They address us, “you’re heinous. (they apparently meant “Your Highness”) We would like to hang (thank) you for everything, But we have to move on” (a dash, or a minus). And from there, explanations are varying,-- We’re not sure how to translate into our language The symbol left after the writing,-- An upside-down “T” leaves us in anguish, But we’re expecting more alien sightings. *If anyone knows what the upside-down "T" stands for please reply! < !signature--> Check out my poetry here: http://cafepoetry.com/stage1/andrey_kneller.htm#My%20Hamlet [This message has been edited by Master (edited 10-15-2000).] |

Master, the ultimate language barrier scenario. I found this funny well I am an animation student. The upside down "T" the aliens are probably just messing with our heads, maybe it is the middle finger.. really enjoyed the poem. "an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women". Patti Smith |

Yes! It was meant to stand for the middle finger, but I guess I wasn't too clear. Thanks for responding, Brian! Check out my poetry here: http://cafepoetry.com/stage1/andrey_kneller.htm#My%20Hamlet |

Somehow I think this was the message sent to us by all the other nations on this very planet...we love you, and give us all your money...and the symbol after this message was an upside down "T"...yes it was...and yes it is...James |
