 I offered you love without bindings… I gave you a heart with no strings… You took them and gave me a box full of words, but they’re empty…they don’t mean a thing… I reached out to touch you and found that You couldn’t be touched from afar… To try to find love in your box full of words was like trying to capture a star… You’ve built up a wall to protect you… It keeps out the good and the bad… And just like your words in their big empty box, You’re secure, but your life is so sad… And now, when I look on your picture… I see what was there all this time… A big lonely man, with a big empty box... full of meaningless words that don’t rhyme… Follow your dream! |

Sunny, bravo and resounding cheers, is this a fantastic poem or am I a sweet young thing who's never been kissed. (And Sunny girl, I'm neither that innocent or that young) This just sings to my soul, as clear as the truth will always ring. Mind you how anyone could turn away from an angel like you I've no idea, but hey no one said life was easy.
