~A Rose~ Crimson red on white satin a soft scent of perfume upon my pillow a single rose... It beckons me stay a promise to hold as quietly I lay Lazy eyes open turning my head I look out my window twinkling stars I see as the moon knowingly winks back at me A love song drifts across the room filling my senses with visions of you petals of red touch skin the scent of a full bloom fills the room My pillow beckons me to sleep once more as I wait to hear your key turn in the door...
