I know it is all over
You do not trust me anymore
Nevertheless, I beg you
Just give me another chance
If I now show compassion
Do not maintain your distance
I know I have hurt you
Let me come back into your heart

I ask you to take the time
To look back on the memories
Those days we shared in happiness
In the name of the love we had
For each other, because without you
The days are so empty
And my tears never cease
Knowing, you love me no more.

vlraynes,
Thank you so much. My mother has been very influential in my life. Like most people I have made mistakes, I still treasure her very much.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Part of the special relationship between Mother and child is that the love doesn't die.  It may be hidden under layers of hurt or mistrust but if you dig for it you'll find it very much alive under there.  Nicely written.

Daniel, reading your post....well it made me cry, my first poem when I came inhere was "heartpain"......about losing my daughter.

can't tell you how your words have touched me, very deeply indeed.....wish that it were the words of my daughter...and you know.. a mothers heart is always filled with love.....even when she tried to protect herself for more heartpain...but there is always room for love in her heart.

I truly hope that all come fine, for both of you....

hugs Charisma

Poet's Sister,
Thank you sister here at Passions, I appreciate your wonderful caring words. I am deeply touched.

Charisma,
I am so sorry about your daughter. I have always loved my mother, but there comes a time when the demand for compassion is frowned upon and leaves doubts in a child's mind. I thank you and pray for both you and your daughter, you are such a caring person.

Snowpants,
Oh! How happy you make me to read your words. Thank you so very much.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Soft and touching...I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and she is going thru a divorce and her soon to be ex and her son are on the mainland and she is in Hawaii and she has learned to live without her son...sad the way life takes us sometimes...I told her that a child only has one mother and someday he will be knocking on her door....James

jmlee,
How appropriate your reply was. Yes, at times the child tries so hard to reach out, but there are mothers out there that refuse to give a bleeding heart another chance.
