I want to live forever with you And watch your hair turn to white To share in everything you do Till that never-ending night Each wrinkle that appears on my face Will be but a mark for our love And another long line to trace Back to the almighty above With the aches and pain that come with old age We’ll take comfort in each other’s presence Saying farewell to the years like turning a page Our happiness will be of the essence Thankfully I can say that you are my soul mate Looking at all that we have endured In your eyes I can see the key to heaven’s gate And know that my troubles are cured For ours is a once in a lifetime romance That most can only dream of living All because each of us took a chance And with our emotions we were giving Love one another-let God do the worrying, Rodney |

Oh my, the sincerity of your loving words gave me a shiver. What a treasure, this pretty poem, and no doubt, its author. Thank you! Rainydays |

Rodney~ What a lovely write of your heart. 'Saying farewell to the years like turning a page' Appreciated the linking of the years to pages in the book of life. Well done. ~*Marge*~ < !signature--> ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] [This message has been edited by Marge Tindal (edited 10-23-2000).] |
