Tranquility Silenced All An early summer overwhelmed. The evening sky was hazed, breezes light. The gentle slapping against the sides sounded a sleepy rhythm. Looking out upon the water's surface I reflected on you, the way you whisper in the dark, the taste of your kiss, the teasing look in your eyes, as you wink and then throw your head back to laugh at me. As we rounded the harbor the beauty of the night shadowed me. When the moon showered it's light and the stars began their nightly dance tranquility silenced all. And in that moment, all I could think about was spending the rest of the night in your eyes. © Maureen 2k written earlier this year when taking a ferry ride around Baltimore's Inner Harbor [This message has been edited by MMoonchild (edited 10-11-2000).] |

OH M, I'll bet that was a beautiful trip, I have always loved boat rides. Well done again M. *s* On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free. |

Reading this makes me long for a moonlit cruise... I particularly like the line: The gentle slapping against the sides sounded a sleepy rhythm I can hear the slurp and tap of the waves!Nicely done, MM ~ Beth |

Maureen, I loved the last four lines. . . simply wonderful. . . There's nothing like the calm of the water to make us see love. . . Tranquility has that effect. . . ---------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

One of your very best M/M - You captured this most beautifully. Today - I attended a wedding - closer to you than I ever imagined - In Parkton MD followed by a reception at Westminister Hall in Baltimore and memories of fun times in Inner Harbor passed through my head as we followed the full moon back to 95. ~You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning. ~ Billy Wilder |
