Romantic Reality Oh how I Love you will you be mine? We will share romantic bliss together until the end of time. (he) Where do you work? Well that's nice to hear. And how much money do you make just want to get the facts clear. (she) Everytime I look into your beautiful eyes I see the heavens open and explosions in the sky. (he) Let me see now do you rent or own that home? Are you sure you have no girlfriends and that you live alone? (she) I promise I will Love you til the end of time. Give me a chance and say that you'll be mine. (he) If you don't mind we'll begin as friends. Prove you can be there for me that's where it all begins. {a hopeful she) You know I kiss my friends, right? (a happy he) Jameslee@October11,2000 [This message has been edited by jmlee12345 (edited 10-12-2000).] |

James As you can see, some of us women need a little stability before jumping in on a relationship. Nicely done. Ariana |

A very real portrait of how a true love should be. Excellent penning at showing both sides. |

Thank you Ariana, Mark and Sea for reading and responding.. I based this on some comments that Mina made to me very early in our relationship...actually its still early...I gave her about four poems when we met tonight...I was telling her this one from memory and she got a good laugh out of it...she remembered the very questions she had ask me...I know that women always think about stability and security right away...and if a woman catches my eye I get romantic right away...at least with Mina...James |

I agree with Sea....love the romantic style. and I don't give a damn about materie, they are nice ane fine if you have it, but you can't buy real love....so I prefer the way how He is..... and hey I love the written style either. great work Charisma |

Thank you Charisma, Paula and Nate for the nice comments. I'm not attempting to put women down for being concerned about stability or comfort...I admire this trait in women to be so sensible and practible...these are my experiences...many women today don't want to be dependent on men and they are determined to make it on their own...yet they still desire a successful man. My concern is do they desire a romantic man...cause that is who I am... Most importantly I believe that relationships need to develop trust and friendship to survive and as I said just be their for each other..sorry for all the words...I've been thinking about these things lately...James |

LOL..i kiss my friends too.... no..material things dont make the man..but stability is a comfort...i've done the "live in a one room 'paper house' and eat mac and cheese, and bread and butter, lucky if you have shampoo, feeling rich if you have 2 rolls of toilet paper" thing...!!!! yow!! those were the days! so..at some point, we women want a little more security! lol this is a cute write james.. and that last line really gave a chuckle! hugs, dg< !signature--> she doesnt want the kind of love she can live with--she wants the kind she cant live without -clint black [This message has been edited by dgvarner (edited 10-12-2000).] |

Victoria thanks for giving me an opportunity to clear that thought up...I think some women are both romantic and practical...I find your writing, thoughts, desires, to be very desirable...you are very romantic...and I love you for that...I appreciate your soft and gentle spirit...please continue to be romantic...James |

James this is really good, I like this a lot. A beautifully written poem, well done. I've always said I was out of sync with the world. Stability is not something I even consider, and as for material things, if I wanted something, then I'd work to earn it. Comes from having a great grandmother who marched with Emmeline Pankhurst, very keen on self sufficiency in our family. Still I think this is a great poem. Take care Marsha |

Naturally, I enjoyed reading this too, James, and admittedly I am drawn to the romantic man. The creature comforts I can take care of myself, but if a man tells me "Everytime I look into your beautiful eyes I see the heavens open and explosions in the sky" and is sincere, I am definitely going to listen. And cute line about kissing your friends. Rainydays |

I think it's a great poem, but I see the guy as giving the typical line, and the girl as some are, after the almighty dime. Deb |

Thank you Rainydays, Jenn and Deb for reading and responding...I was trying to portray a man desiring to be romantic and a woman desiring security...seems like one of the first things I ask a woman is "Are you a good kisser" and one of the first things they ask me is "where do you work". Not in all cases but many times...I'm not complaining just making an observation..James |
