Thought provoking Lucky ... if trees could weep aloud, we would be surely be deaf with their loud cries! It may make people think twice before they push the "print" button. Lovely verse ... I enjoyed it. /Kit McCallum |

This is for your lovely mother, lucky...the english teacher? who probably did use alot of paper over the years, the scribble that killed a tree...we have been so thoughtless, then there's the butterfly that stakes her claim on branches that weigh so much when resting on such tender wings. Your poetry is always so thought provoking. |

The sting of the written word and all its vessels...thank you for this interesting commentary, Lucky. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Kit McCallum, I'm glad you liked. Nice to catch a new eye. Martie, Mama always did love the trees and belonged to any organization who would sponsor such a cause, though she did do a lot of writing. (by hand) to me... Claire, Nice to see you again... "Words in or on vessels" that sounds like a voyage I want to write. Thank you all. If I could paint a portrait, of this life in which I've led, and somehow sketch a story, of the visions in my head, I'd start out with a canvas, stretched tightly in a frame, and in the bottom corner, I'd leave room to sign my name.
