He is silence He is wonder He is my waking midnight dream Security and safety His whisper transcends the loudest screams A softly spoken word whispered ‘tween two A slightly haunting chord from a song always new He is Darkness He is light He is my patchwork heart’s seam Honesty, Integrity Likened to an elusive moonlight beam A lightly brushed kiss upon sweetheart’s brow The pleasure given in it withheld until just now He is forever He is feeling He is my emotions running over Loving ingenuity He is the familiar touch of a lover May I never be too busy to help another's load, Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed. --Author Unknown |
