The Lessons of Your Friendship
Amy M. Kennedy

You must lose something in order to gain
In order to appreciate true happiness, you have had to experience pain
So I lost me, and I found you
In you I have found a friend who is forever true

Something isn’t what it always appears to be
Looking with your eyes, isn’t what you need to see
The tool of the heart is more powerful than sight
And we must go through our darkest hour, before we see the light

Take nothing for granted, and treasure what is yours
Live for today, and not the past closed doors
Don’t give up on hope or faith, the best things lay ahead
Take that dusty book off the shelf, it needs to be read

Friendship is one of the greatest gifts of all time
It brings such complete joy, and doesn’t cost a dime
Each day is unique, each moment with a friend is a gift in itself
A true friend is worth more than any fortune, fame, or wealth

You are a true friend, many things you have taught me
To believe in myself, and to be all that I can be
In you I have learned that the best things are free
Forever we will be best friends, you and me!

~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~

Amy,

This is a lovely heartfelt tribute to your friend.  You are very lucky to have found each other.  One can never have too many good friends!!!  I just love the ending.  Perfect!!

Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end.

I know it's been a long road
To get these towns behind me and I
Will gladly reap what we may sow--
I am there for you ...
and you're there for me ...
Are you waiting for
Heart in hand
Woman and man
See me where I stand I am
Heart
Heart in hand
