Once held by a king who never saw its true beauty It began its life around his neck a symbol of royalty Reflecting the power of the ocean the power of nature A power that proved to be too much for one man let alone a king Recast and recut, it found its way to a new shape Continuing its life as a heart a symbol of love Reflecting the power of a life the power of passion A power waiting to be shared by two people lovers not yet found Now held by a woman who knows its true beauty It ends its life around her neck a symbol of true love Reflecting the power of lives joined the power of passions fulfilled A power now shared and found by two people The Heart of the Ocean beating in time with the hearts of their bodies Now. . . . . . and for all time -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Une fois tenu par un roi qui n'a jamais vu sa beauté vraie il a commencé sa vie autour de son cou un symbole de redevance reflétant la puissance de l'océan la puissance de la puissance de la nature A qui s'est avérée être trop pour un homme encore moins un roi Remanié et recut, il a trouvé son chemin à une nouvelle forme continuant sa vie comme un coeur un symbole de l'amour reflétant la puissance d'une vie la puissance de la puissance de la passion A attendant pour être partagé par deux amoureux de personnes pas encore trouvés Maintenant tenu par une femme qui sait sa beauté vraie qu'il termine sa vie autour de son cou un symbole de l'amour vrai se reflétant la puissance des vies a joint la puissance des passions a accompli la puissance de A maintenant partagée et trouvée par deux personnes le coeur du battement d'océan à temps avec les coeurs de leurs corps Maintenant. et pendant. . . . . . tout le temps --------------------------------------------------------------- < !signature--> That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl [This message has been edited by Sven (edited 04-17-2000).] |

Sven, thank you for posting this un francais. I have been toying with some ideas myself, and this has inspired me to get busy. What a lovely posting you have created. Joanna What better way to become immortal than to wake up each day and write? Ray Bradbury |

Sven, Your talents never cease to amaze me...and in FRENCH no less. I am glad you posted in both languages! I studied German in school but would not dare write poetry in that language. Please, MORE! INclan |

Thank you all. . . I was inspired to post in French because of the name of the jewel. . . I hope that I have done the language justice, not being a native French speaker. . . Thank you again. . . ---------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
