I stared about in stark surprise
At my blank and empty head
No random thoughts flickering
Like fireflies in June

Bare empty walls
Clean squares where once
Pristine portraits stared bemused
Among the myriad eclectic chairs

Wires dangle like Spanish moss
From the empty ceiling holes
Not even a scrap of paper
Lies upon the scrubbed wood floors
Patchy and smooth from transient carpet

My thoughts are gone
My mind empty
My voice echoes odd

No forwarding address
No note goodbye
Just me, my walls, and I

Churning out poetic hash.

That was a really good poem. I'm so glad I got the chance to read it.  I hope to read more of yours soon.

Interesting, sounds like you were robbed in the middle of the night, the muse thief in action, I think we need to alert the media...LOL Loved your poem, great imagination what's left anyway.

Hmmm...just happened (yeah, right) to find this little treasure lurking under a layer of dust on page 74...so I bumped it, simply because I can.
