Somewhere near the Rainbow

The Glory Of The Morning

Rising sun over land
grasping far reaching
hand outstretched
to feel the warmth
caressing deeply
into crying soul
retrieving fragments
of leftover smiles.

The glory
of the morning
dances me back
to the world I love
giving me back
to all who care
and I care about
so very dearly.

Today I rise above
capturing sunshine's
golden rays of life
floating in the glow
of happiness
ready to share
with all gleefully
this dawning
of a new day.

I liked this. My favorite part is
"retrieving fragments of leftover smiles.."

Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau"

LostDreamer~
This is really a very pretty
and thoughtful piece of poetry.
Could that be the morning 'Gloria' ?
