you're a damn good writer, Lucky. i just want you to know that. i enjoy the words as much as i enjoy how you lay them out. what do you call your style? by that, i mean, what form is it that you use, with the lack of puctuation, etc.? |

brandondinsmore, The form is somewhat new... My mother, an english teacher doesn't recognize it at all. The facts are, nobodi nose. All kiddin' aside, it's Free Form... VERY, VERY FREE. (Lucky) |

At first glance, since you hadn't shown me first, I was taken aback for a second by the beginning of this poem. But then I quickly understood. And honey, losing your spark of joy in music for a time after your mother died is not a problem with attitude - it's a matter of a broken heart. It's okay, sweetheart. Don't worry. I believe you will be able to sing again without tears. I'm so sorry, though. ~ ~ ~ P.S. Perhaps I should interject here, for the sake of clarity - lucky's mother who is an English teacher is actually my mother, and his mother-in-law. And she enjoys his writing more than she enjoys mine, which tickles me, since she does not approve easily, and I love him so. Sadly, his own mother has died, precipitating much of his sadder work. ~ ~ ~ The spiritual wind that holds survivors aloft, plants the seeds from which bloom new hope ... R.J.G. |

Thanks so much my ducky darling. I love you so much for being there for me in times of such great need. Also I bouncing myself for Martie's benefit just so she can get the "mothers'" straight. Love you Martie, and RJ I love you ever so much, no one could ever take your place. If I could paint a portrait, of this life in which I've led, and somehow sketch a story, of the visions in my head, I'd start out with a canvas, stretched tightly in a frame, and in the bottom corner, I'd leave room to sign my name. lucky, I was confused when I read this, yes, about the mother thing, (thank you RG for clearing it up) I am so sorry for your tears and understand because I have so many myself for my mother...and sometimes the anguish of sorrow in a song is beautiful, just like this poem. Love to you and Rosemary! |
