Is it ok, if I dont feel today my Angel left and took my smile with her. I watched as she took flight wings beating gently in the autum dusk, and though I stood beside her all along I was never hers and she was never mine. She said goodbye with a kiss and glittering breathe, she stroked my cheek leant close to my ear and told me my secret, finally. I cried like a child, sobbing hard with gratitude, and she sang to sooth my tears. One last time she let me look into her eyes and see the past we had the present we lost and the future we could never carry home with us. Her farewell made my garden turn all the shades of sadness, made my trees weep and their branches could nearly touch the ground. She let me touch her wings, and feel the beauty an Angel always gives, selflessly, purity, and I was altered by her. At last, my Angel took to the amber sky and one small hand waved farewells which fell on me as silverblue which fell on me as things to do Is it ok, if I dont feel today my Angel left and took reality away. |

Fool~ With this tender render from your pen you have kissed an angel goodbye. Sometimes we just have to be thankful that we were touched by an angel, if only for a little while. Beautifully done. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Deeply sad words, but woven in an exquisite form. Lovely work! *Krista Knutson* "Lonliness is the human condition." *Mark Twain, in the book "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn"* |

I like it and i can relate. i love the lines. normally i don't like free verse, but this was good. it had rhythem and it felt, and it was just plain ol' good. i dig it. We all got somethin' we need to atone for. |

Too often are angels kissed goodbye It seems unavoidable No matter how hard we try. Too rarely are words woven like that of your poem Touching all who read it Hitting some close to home. |

Is it ok, if I dont feel today my Angel left and took reality away. This poem took my breath away!! So beautiful and full of emotion. Your angel will always be with you inside your heart...I know mine is! Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. Lovely, what else can I say? I think that your angel will return to you someday, even if she wasn't truly yours to begin with. |
