Thank you for the kind words my friend I know you'll be there till the end Trying to mend my wounded soul With a love that could make me whole You have truly touched my heart With compassion that's off the chart The words you wrote for me Give me the strength and help me see I am not facing this alone A ray of sunlight has been shone On my wounded broken spirit Your heart is right here near it You have dried the many tears Helped me chase away the fears My best friend is the one That'll be there when all is said and done Thank you for your precious love Sent to me from heaven above To help my wounds to heal So I may find a love that's real I am there by your side No need for me to run and hide You are my inspiration Encouraging my imagination Your love will fill the hole Taking me to my goal To find happiness again I can do it with you my friend Drop down on my knees to pray Thanking God for you showing me the way Out of the forest of darkness I was in Granting me forgiveness for my sins You led me gently by the hand Giving me the courage to stand And face the upcoming trial Knowing you'll be there through every mile Your shoulder is there for support Sturdy as the biggest fort You will be my rock Love holds the key to the lock You knew all along Sang for me your sweet song Thank you for being there WIth a friendship that is rare Know that we will always be There for each other can you see We share a special kind of tie Endless as the bluest sky ******Response to a friend****** ---------------------------------------------------- Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Lone Wolf - this is gorgeous, my friend! It always warms my heart to see you posting positive, upbeat poetry - although, having been where you are, I certainly understand the sad ones as well!
